Program Overview

The Institute for Governance and Civics at Florida State University (IGC FSU) invite Florida schools to use The Story of America, new US History supplemental resources for middle and high school students developed to enhance civic literacy.

These resources are aligned with Florida's Social Studies Standards and B.E.S.T. ELA Standards and is available to Florida schools AT NO COST. 

Turn Lessons into Immersive Historical Experiences

Florida students can now explore the nation's story from pre-colonization to the modern era with Story of America's supplemental resources.

Students trace through 31 units and lessons covering up to 235 history learning objectives all designed to increase history knowledge.
