What Missouri Needs Right Now:

Mandatory K–3 foundational reading assessment at the beginning and end of each school year (Section 167.645, RSMo)
Dyslexia screening for K–3 students — required at least twice in Kindergarten and at least three times in grades 1–3, within the first 30 days of school
Reading Success Plans (RSPs) — required for students with a Substantial Reading Deficiency (SRD) or at risk for dyslexia; must be developed by end of first quarter (Sections 167.268 & 167.645, RSMo)
EBRIP reimbursement — Districts can apply for reimbursement under the Evidence-Based Reading Instruction Program Fund (SB 681, Section 161.241, RSMo), but must use approved materials and assessments
Compliance reporting deadline: All LEAs must report their chosen state-approved assessment to DESE by June 19, 2026

EBRIP Funding

Missouri districts may be eligible for reimbursement through the Evidence-Based Reading Instruction Program (EBRIP) fund under SB 681. Amira ISIP Assess is a state-approved assessment, making Amira a qualifying solution for EBRIP reimbursement applications.
